Questions Vara hears the most
The honest answers — the same ones Vara gives in chat. Still stuck? Book a demo and ask a person.
How long does setup take?
There's no setup wizard. Send your menu and we cost it before you sign — you're looking at real numbers within a day, not after weeks of data entry.
We're not on Toast. Can we still use it?
Yes. Export a PMIX report from your POS as CSV. It lists each menu item, units sold, and net sales; Varastiq recognizes the common columns and asks you to review anything uncertain before import. Toast simply makes those updates automatic. See integrations →
My last system died in a drawer. Why is this different?
Because it works with the data you already generate — counts, invoices, sales — instead of asking your team to maintain a second set of books. If they stop, you still keep the last confirmed numbers.
Who owns my data?
You do. Access is consent-gated and read-only — you grant it, and you can revoke it anytime. We never sell your data or share it with your vendors.
What does "estimated" vs "confirmed" mean?
Every number starts as an honest estimate from benchmark prices, then becomes confirmed once your own invoices and POS agree. The full story →
How much does it cost?
Pricing depends on your number of locations. A quick demo is the fastest way to a real quote — no pressure, and Vara can answer questions first.
